At Psyche Denver, we’re more than a clinic — we’re a team of passionate providers and staff dedicated to delivering exceptional outpatient psychiatric care. Our culture is built on collaboration, respect, and continual learning.
We believe in giving our team members both structure and freedom: structure in the form of excellent benefits, malpractice coverage, and ongoing education — and freedom in the ability to shape roles, grow professionally, and even create new service opportunities that align with your passions.
Whether you’re interested in traditional outpatient psychiatry, neuromodulation therapies like TMS and Spravato, or exploring new ways to serve our patients, Psyche Denver provides the support and openness to make it possible.
Denver, CO 80203 | Capitol Hill
Full-time | In person | Monday–Friday
Starting at $26+/hour, based on experience
Psyche is a growing psychiatric practice in Denver’s Capitol Hill neighborhood, and we’re looking for a compassionate, reliable, and team-oriented Medical Assistant / Front Desk Administrator to join us.
We’re a smaller practice with a close-knit team, a highly collaborative culture, and a strong focus on providing thoughtful, personalized care. We’re especially proud of our employee retention. People tend to stay at Psyche, and whenever possible, we prefer to promote and create new opportunities from within.
It’s also an exciting time to join us. In addition to providing innovative treatments including TMS and Spravato, Psyche’s clinical leadership is expanding its involvement in clinical research and the emerging field of psychedelic medicine. As the practice continues to evolve, we expect that growth to create new opportunities for our team as well.
For the right person, this is an opportunity to become an important part of an established, supportive practice that’s continuing to explore what’s next in mental health care, with room to grow along with it.
This is a hands-on position that combines direct patient care, clinical support, patient coordination, and front desk administration.
You’ll help care for patients receiving psychiatric services, including TMS and Spravato, while also supporting reception and office workflows such as greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and maintaining accurate records.
This position is an essential part of both the patient care experience and the day-to-day flow of our office. The ideal candidate is empathetic, attentive, detail-oriented, and organized, with the ability to create a welcoming and professional environment for patients while helping our providers maintain efficient, high-quality care.
Because we’re a smaller, collaborative practice, we’re also looking for someone who communicates well, enjoys variety, takes ownership of their work, and is willing to jump in where needed to support patients, providers, and coworkers.
Assist with patient care related to psychiatric services, including TMS and Spravato treatments
Support providers with patient documentation, including updating records when patients complete clinical scales, screenings, and questionnaires
Monitor and document patient information accurately in the EHR
Obtain patient vitals and perform other clinical tasks such as mouth swabs, urinalysis, and blood draws, if qualified
Explain treatment procedures, medications, and provider instructions to patients
Manage patient prescription refill requests, ensuring timely and accurate processing
Prepare and submit prior authorization requests for medications, coordinating with providers and payers as needed
Complete treatment notes and help maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Follow REMS compliance requirements for the administration and handling of Spravato
Keep treatment areas and exam rooms properly prepared and stocked
Organize and monitor medication samples and notify supervisors when supplies need replenishing
Greet patients warmly and professionally, answer questions, and assist with check-in and required forms
Answer phone calls, respond to emails and electronic messages, and direct inquiries appropriately
Schedule appointments and help coordinate patient flow throughout the day
Maintain organized and up-to-date patient charts in the EHR system
Help create a calm, welcoming, and professional experience for patients throughout their time with our practice
Because we’re a smaller practice, collaboration matters here.
You’ll work closely with providers, medical assistants, and administrative staff to help ensure excellent patient care and office efficiency.
You’ll also:
Step in to support teammates as needed across both clinical and front desk functions
Contribute to a positive, respectful, and collaborative workplace culture
Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, providers, and coworkers
Take initiative and ownership of your responsibilities
Look for opportunities to improve workflows and the patient experience
Required:
Medical Assistant (MA) or Medical Office Assistant (MOA) certification
High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred:
1+ year of experience in a medical or healthcare setting
Experience with EHR/EMR systems
Experience working in behavioral health or psychiatry
You’ll be a great fit if you bring:
Knowledge of exam room, diagnostic, and treatment room procedures
Knowledge of HIPAA, patient confidentiality, and workplace safety practices
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, especially in a behavioral health setting
The ability to communicate clearly, compassionately, and professionally with patients, providers, and coworkers
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
The ability to maintain accurate records and input data into EHR systems
The ability to remain calm and effective in urgent or high-pressure situations
The ability to read, understand, and follow detailed oral and written instructions
The ability to build positive working relationships with patients, staff, and the public
At Psyche, you’ll join a stable, supportive team doing meaningful work in a field that’s changing rapidly.
We have a strong track record of employee retention and believe in developing our people and promoting from within whenever possible. With Psyche expanding further into clinical research and psychedelic medicine, we’re excited about what that may mean not only for the future of the practice, but also for the professional growth of the people who help build it.
