QUICK REFERENCE GUIDE

Prescription Assistance & Medication Cost Support

We help patients navigate options to make psychiatric medications more affordable—including savings programs, manufacturer assistance, and guidance from our team.

We’ve compiled this information to help guide you, but programs and eligibility can change. If you have questions, our team is happy to help you find the most up-to-date options.

The information below is provided for patient convenience. This page is intended for individuals who have already been prescribed a medication and are seeking potential savings options. Programs are administered by the manufacturer or third-party discount providers and are subject to change at any time. Eligibility, insurance restrictions, and prior authorization requirements vary by plan and pharmacy.

Important Information About Prescription Savings Programs

  • Manufacturer copay cards are typically available only to patients with commercial (non-government) insurance.
  • Patients with Medicare, Medicaid, TRICARE, Kaiser, or other government-funded plans generally cannot use brand-name manufacturer savings cards.
  • Discount programs such as GoodRx or Optum Perks are used instead of insurance, not in combination with insurance.
  • Not all pharmacies accept all savings or discount programs.
  • Generic medications often have greater savings through discount programs.
  • Brand-name medications typically use manufacturer copay cards, which may function similarly to secondary coverage for eligible patients.

Patient Assistance Programs (Income-Based Support)

Some pharmaceutical manufacturers offer patient assistance programs (PAPs) for individuals who meet certain income qualifications or who do not have adequate prescription coverage.

These programs may:

  • Provide medications at low or no cost for eligible patients
  • Require an application and proof of income
  • Have different eligibility rules depending on the manufacturer
  • Change periodically based on program guidelines

If cost is a concern, patients may ask our team whether a patient assistance program may be available for their prescribed medication.
